(Park Falls, WI) St. Croix’s new Legend® Trek spinning and casting rods are built with the globe-trotting angler in mind. With eight, 3-piece spinning and casting rods ranging from 7- to 7 ½ feet in length, they pack down to 32″ or less – short enough to fit into the bottom of most duffle bags or carrying-on jets or float planes.
Built on high-modulus/high-strain SCIV graphite blanks using Integrated Poly Curve® (IPC®) tooling technology and St. Croix’s proprietary Fortified Resin System (FRS), the Legend Trek rods are stronger, lighter and more sensitive than rods built with standard tapers and resins. Each rod is further strengthened with Advanced Reinforcing Technology™ (ART™) throughout the blank — and their internally fortified, slim-profile ferrules deliver the lightweight feel and casting performance of a one-piece rod.
The Legend Trek series features Kigan® Master Hand Zero Tangle guides with ultra-hard zirconia rings and titanium frames for lightweight, 100% protection against saltwater corrosion. Additional components include a super-grade cork handle and premium Fuji® reel seat with exclusive E-finish hood(s). The wind checks and handle trim pieces are corrosion proof, and all thread wraps are expertly sealed with two coats of Flex Coat slow-cure finish.
Designed and handcrafted in Park Falls, Wisconsin for discriminating fresh and saltwater anglers, the Legend Trek rods come in a rugged carrying case with handle and divided polypropylene liner, and are protected by a 15-year transferable warranty backed by St. Croix Superstar Service. Retail prices range from $460 – $530.
