Honeywell and Howard Leight step up to help Americans helping each other

WESTWOOD, Mass. (May 8, 2020) – Something has proven to be even more infectious than this insidious novel coronavirus over the past few weeks: the American spirit. Indeed, Americans are stepping up to protect the most vulnerable populations across the country by heeding stay-at-home orders and embracing social-distancing guidelines to slow the spread of COVID-19. And at the corporate level, companies like Honeywell – a global technology leader and parent company to the popular Howard Leight Shooting Sports brand – are responding nimbly with a variety of creative initiatives to protect against the threat while helping to prop up our stressed economy.

Honeywell Expands Capacity to Deliver 20 Million N95 Masks per Month

Honeywell has recently announced added manufacturing capabilities in Phoenix to produce N95 face masks in support of the U.S. government’s response to the novel coronavirus (COVID-19). The company’s Phoenix expansion, coupled with additional production in Smithfield, Rhode Island announced on March 22, will allow Honeywell to create approximately 1,000 new jobs while producing more than 20 million N95 disposable masks monthly to combat COVID-19 in the U.S. while adding to the National Stockpile. Honeywell is also increasing its manufacturing and distribution of other important and needed personal protective equipment (PPE) worldwide.

Howard Leight and the Shooting Sports are Open for Business

The unprecedented and selfless actions being taken by Americans aren’t easy; they’re difficult and aren’t happening without sacrifice. Thankfully, there are myriad ways Americans can find respite from indoor isolation while complying with social distancing. Shooting sports is one of them.

While most shooting ranges are properly closed throughout much of the country, plenty of individuals and families across rural America are getting out and enjoying the spring weather by plinking and target shooting on the back 40. Many are also patterning their shotguns and enjoying spring turkey hunting.

Howard Leight Shooting Sports wishes to reinforce that it is servicing the needs of customers during these challenging times and remains open for business, as are many of the company’s dealers and retail partners across the country. Shooting sports enthusiasts can find the Howard Leight Shooting Sports hearing and eye protection products they need at many of the same retail locations where they are buying their ammunition and other shooting sports supplies. Of course, Howard Leight shooting sports products are also available for purchase online at howardleightshooting sports.com.
