Learn about different species at Furs, Fins, and Feathers hosted by Paynetown State Recreation Area, Sept. 15.
An electrofishing demo will begin at 12:30 p.m. Open fishing runs from 2 to 4 p.m., with equipment and bait provided.
Afternoon activities will include aging white-tailed deer from their teeth, learning the differences between aquatic mammals, and exploring waterfowl feathers.
Live snakes will be featured at a 4 p.m. The event ends at 7 p.m. with a live raptor presentation by Adam Naugle of the Indiana Falconers Association.
