Sunday morning in a tree
Good morning! Here’s the latest from the tree stand: nothing.
My buddy Ken texted a few minutes ago after he passed up an easy shot on a four-point at the other side of our woods.
Right now there is a goose riot in progress in the pond to the east and a fat squirrel is goofing around two trees over. Ken just texted and two does are near him. Just heard shot to the south.
Beginning to have that annual feeling that I’ve set up in a federally-declared deer-free zone. Funny how one minute you can be sure that deer are locally-extinct and the next minute you are in heaven. I guess thats why still sitting here, 20 feet up a tree on a gray, still sunday morning.
