Mitchell, IN: Spring Mill State Park invites you to an event that
explores the hardships of the winter for the soldiers of the Civil War.
The dates are Feb. 17 and 18.
The park’s Pioneer Village will be open from 11:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. The
featured event is a program portraying a winter tactical battle at 2
p.m. on both Saturday and Sunday. At 1:50 p.m. visitors will be directed
to the viewing areas where they can safely view the program that depicts
a battle for possession of the village.
Both before and after the program, visitors are welcome to tour the
village and visit with the re-enactors and get warm by the fire.
Park admission during the event is $7 per vehicle for in-state residents
and $9 per vehicle for out-of-state residents. 2018 Annual Entrance
Passes are also available.
